Making a Difference
The goal of Fire Factor is to challenge participants to return to their residence and help spread the word about fire safety. We want to recognize those who are Making a Difference, so please tell us what you have done. Each month a “Fire Factor Survivor” will be awarded a prize for helping us make a difference.

Candise Davis Friends became the first recipient of the Fire Factor Making A Difference Award. Committee members Bob Wilczynski and Janet Maupin presented a certificate of appreciation and a VIP Pool Party at Jillian’s to her. With it, Candise can invite 20 people for billiards and appetizers!
Candise is the Resident Director of Barton/Lundgren Residence Halls and a Fire Factor “Survivor”. She created displays in the lobby of Clark Hall reminding residents to prevent fires from happening to them by not having a George Foreman Grill, candles or halogen lamps in their dorm rooms.
She also took it upon herself to ask whether or not the local fire departments recommended the new Glade Flameless Candles. When they said they highly recommended them, she created a display showcasing one right in the foyer of Clark Hall.
Here’s to you, Candise!!!
